ABOUT CACVA

CACVA is an accredited chapter of the National Children's Alliance.

CACVA is a membership organization dedicated to helping communities respond in a trauma-informed, evidence-based way to child abuse.  CACVA ensures that the needs of the child are at the center of any response. Formed in 2002, CACVA provides support, technical assistance, and training for Virginia’s CACs and serves as a resource for communities looking to develop CACs or multi-disciplinary response teams.

Our Mission

We at CACVA stand against racism and social injustice. We seek to foster a culture where our children, staff, and community partners are welcome. We aim to center the voices of those who are historically marginalized as thought-leaders and decision makers.
